South Korea
Regular Season Round 18: SK Knights - KCC Egis 88-83
Date: December 19, 2021
Very predictable result in Seoul where second ranked SK Knights (15-7) beat 8th ranked KCC Egis (10-13) 88-83 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. SK Knights looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-88) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Sang-Yu Kim (198-89) with 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Chang-Young Jung (192-88) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. SK Knights maintains second position with 15-7 record behind leader KT Sonicboom. KCC Egis lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. SK Knights will meet DB Promy (#5) in the next round. KCC Egis will play against the league's leader KT Sonicboom in Busan and hope to secure a win.
