Top ranked KT Sonicboom (16-6) recorded its sixth loss on the court of third ranked Anyang KGC on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Anyang KGC 102-79. Anyang KGC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American Omari Spellman (207-97, college: Villanova) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. International guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-96) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists. Five Anyang KGC players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Hoon Heo (181-95) who recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-92, college: UMass, agency: BeoBasket) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anyang KGC have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 13-8 record having four points less than leader KT Sonicboom. KT Sonicboom at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. Anyang KGC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KT Sonicboom will play at home against KCC Egis and is hoping to win this game.
