Regular Season Round 16: LG Sakers - KT Sonicboom 73-75

Ninth-ranked LG Sakers (7-14) gave a tough game to first ranked KT Sonicboom (14-5) in Changwon on Sunday. The visitors from Busan managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-92, college: UMass, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and international guard Hoon Heo (181-95) who added 20 points during the contest. At the losing side Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Filipino guard Kwan-Hee Lee (190-88) scored 19 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KT Sonicboom have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-5 record. LG Sakers at the other side keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. KT Sonicboom are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Samsung Th. (#10) in Seoul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LG Sakers will play on the road against KCC Egis in Jeonju and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
