Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Al Salam (4-6) won against 11th ranked Duba Club (1-9) in Al-Awamiyah 68-56 on Friday. American forward Nick Stover (198-93, college: USA) notched 28 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and Algerian center Touhami Ghezzoul (209-87, college: N.Dakota St.) supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Stover is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds by Ahmed Aldosoei did not help to save the game for Duba Club. Jonathan Dojbo added 24 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Al Salam moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Al Ahly. Duba Club lost third consecutive game. Duba Club at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Al Salam will meet higher ranked Al Ansar (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Duba Club will play against Ohod (#3) and hope to win that game.
