Regular Season Round 10: Al Ittihad - Al Hilal 70-86

An interesting game for Al Hilal (9-1) which played road game in Jeddah against 4th ranked Al Ittihad (7-3). Second ranked Al Hilal had an easy win 86-70. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Al Ittihad. American guard Antwan Scott (185-92, college: Colorado St.) had a triple-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international center Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-98) chipped in 16 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. Five Al Hilal players scored in double figures. Al Hilal's coach Stratos Koukoulekidis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Tunisian point guard Omar Abada (189-93) responded with 30 points and 5 rebounds and Nigerian-American power forward Maxie Esho (206-91, college: UMass) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Al Hilal have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Nasr. Al Ittihad at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Al Hilal will play against Al Fateh (#6) in Al Hasa in the next round where they are favorite. Al Ittihad will play on the road against Abha and hopes to get back on the winning track.
