The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked DB Promy's (9-10) road victory over 9th ranked Samsung Th. (6-12) in Seoul 94-73 on Tuesday. Strangely Samsung Th. outrebounded DB Promy 41-29 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international forward SangJae Kang (202-94) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Woong Heo (183-93) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Nigerian forward Daniel Ochefu (211-93, college: Villanova) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-89) added 15 points and 7 assists respectively for Samsung Th. in the defeat. Four Samsung Th. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. DB Promy moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Mobis Phoebus. Loser Samsung Th. keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. DB Promy will meet at home league's leader KT Sonicboom in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Samsung Th. will play against Anyang KGC (#4) and hope to secure a win.
