Regular Season Round 11: Hitachi Cougars - Denso I. 61-75

WJBL top team - Denso I. (12-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Hitachi Cougars (6-4) in Hitachinaka 75-61. It was a great evening for the former international center Maki Takada (185-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Sakura Akaho (184-96) helped adding 8 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Rika Tanimura (185-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and guard Yuki Kitamura (172-94) scored 15 points. Four Hitachi Cougars players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Denso I. have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-0 record, which they share with Fujitsu RW. Hitachi Cougars lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with four games lost. Denso I. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hitachi Cougars will play again at home against the league's leader Denso I. (#1) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
