Regular Season Round 11: Samsung Th. - KCC Egis 64-71

No shocking result in a game in Seoul where seventh ranked KCC Egis (7-7) defeated 9th ranked Samsung Th. (5-9) 71-64 on Sunday. It was a great evening for the former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Sang-Yu Kim (198-89) helped adding 10 points and 7 rebounds. KCC Egis' coach Kang Yangtaek used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Dong-Yeop Lee (194-94) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Samsung Th. players scored in double figures. KCC Egis moved-up to fifth place, which they share with KoGas. Loser Samsung Th. keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. KCC Egis will meet higher ranked Anyang KGC (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Samsung Th. will play against DB Promy (#8) in Wonju and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
