Regular Season Round 10: LG Sakers - KoGas 81-66

Bottom-ranked LG Sakers managed to get a third victory on Monday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked KoGas in Changwon 81-66. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 15-point difference suggests that LG Sakers is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KoGas. They outrebounded KoGas 44-27 including 18 on the offensive glass. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-91) chipped in 13 points. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and international guard Nakhyeon Kim (180-95) added 7 points and 10 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. LG Sakers maintains tenth position with 3-10 record. Loser KoGas dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. LG Sakers will meet higher ranked KT Sonicboom (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. KoGas will play against Anyang KGC (#4) and hope to secure a win.
