Regular Season Round 9: SK Knights - Anyang KGC 77-79

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked SK Knights (8-3) in Seoul on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by sixth ranked Anyang KGC (6-5) 79-77. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of SK Knights. It was a good game for American Omari Spellman (207-97, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Seonggon Moon (193-93) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-88) added 15 points in the effort for SK Knights. Five Anyang KGC and four SK Knights players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. SK Knights at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. Anyang KGC are looking forward to face Mobis Phoebus (#8) in Ulsan in the next round.
