Regular Season Round 5: Eneos S. - Chanson V-M 76-80

The most surprising game was the first loss of Eneos S. (4-1) in Kashiwa on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Chanson V-M (1-4) 80-76. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Eneos S.. Chanson V-M dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Eneos S.'s 32. Point guard Kuke Haruka (166-95) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and guard Hinano Mizuno (173-97) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international guard Saki Hayashi (173-95) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chanson V-M left bottom position moving up to ninth place. Eneos S. at the other side keeps the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Aishin AW. Chanson V-M will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Eneos S. will play again at home against Chanson V-M (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
