Regular Season Round 9: Goyang Orions - LG Sakers 92-85

Very predictable result when third ranked Goyang Orions (8-4) won against bottom-ranked LG Sakers (2-9) in Daegu 92-85 on Saturday. Goyang Orions shot 60.7 percent from the field and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Ole Miss) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and international center Seung-Hyun Lee (201-92) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and the former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-91) added 19 points and 7 assists respectively for LG Sakers in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Goyang Orions moved-up to second place, which they share with KT Sonicboom. LG Sakers lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Goyang Orions will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. LG Sakers will play against Mobis Phoebus (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
