An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Busan. Second ranked KT Sonicboom faced one of their biggest challengers Goyang Orions. Host KT Sonicboom (7-4) defeated guests from Daegu (6-4) 96-81. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Goyang Orions. KT Sonicboom shot 60.9 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-97) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-92, college: UMass, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 26 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Four KT Sonicboom players scored in double figures. The former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-90, college: BYU-Hawaii) produced 25 points and 5 assists and American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Ole Miss) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KT Sonicboom have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-4 record behind leader SK Knights. Goyang Orions at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. KT Sonicboom are looking forward to face KCC Egis (#5) in Jeonju in the next round. Goyang Orions will play at home against DB Promy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
