We should mention about the upset which took place in Tokyo, where Niigata R. (2-5) was outleveled at home by Mitsubishi K. (1-2) 100-57. Mitsubishi K. made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Mitsubishi K. outrebounded Niigata R. 56-29 including a 27-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Niigata R.'s players. Niigata R. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch.
