South Korea
Regular Season Round 5: SK Knights - DB Promy 95-68
Date: October 24, 2021
Undefeated DB Promy (4-1) recorded its first loss in Seoul. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked SK Knights (4-2) 95-68. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. The former international Joon-Young Choi (200-94) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Five SK Knights players scored in double figures. American forward Lennard Freeman (203-95, college: NC State) answered with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Japanese guard Taichi Nakamura (190-97) added 7 points and 5 assists in the effort for DB Promy. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SK Knights moved-up to second place, which they share with Goyang Orions and KT Sonicboom. DB Promy at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. SK Knights will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. DB Promy will play on the road against KCC Egis in Jeonju and hopes to get back on the winning track.
