Regular Season Round 2: LG Sakers - DB Promy 71-73

Important game to mention about took place in Changwon. DB Promy saved a 2-point victory on the road edging LG Sakers 73-71 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. DB Promy dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to LG Sakers' 26. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American forward Yante Maten (203-96, college: Georgia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import forward Lennard Freeman (203-95, college: NC State) contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 22 rebounds and Filipino guard Kwan-Hee Lee (190-88) added 26 points and 5 assists in the effort for LG Sakers. Four LG Sakers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. DB Promy will play against KoGas in Inchon in the next round. LG Sakers will play at home against KCC Egis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
