Semi-Finals Game 2: Ryukyu GK - Chiba J. 84-78

Ryukyu topped Chiba Jets to even the series at 1-1. Ryukyu GK made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Ryukyu GK outrebounded Chiba J. 41-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Chiba J. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Wasserman) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) replied with 14 points and 6 assists and his fellow American import power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: UConn) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Chiba J.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
