Tochigi Brex advanced into the semifinal series as they cruised past Hitachi SunRockers. Tochigi B. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Sunrockers' 32. They outrebounded Hitachi Sunrockers 33-21 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tochigi B. shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Hitachi Sunrockers' players. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) notched 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and power forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Tochigi B. players scored in double figures. Even 28 points and 7 rebounds by Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) did not help to save the game for Hitachi Sunrockers.
