Regular Season Round 28: Goyang Orions - DB Promy 90-92

The most exciting game of round 28 in the KBL took place in Daegu. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of much higher ranked Goyang Orions (18-13) to tenth ranked DB Promy (10-22) 92-90 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Goyang Orions. DB Promy looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Yante Maten (203-96, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import forward Justin Knox (206-89, college: UNC) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Knox is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-90, college: BYU-Hawaii) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and American forward Dedric Lawson (206-97, college: Kansas) added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Goyang Orions. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. DB Promy maintains tenth position with 10-22 record. Goyang Orions at the other side dropped to the third place with 13 games lost. DB Promy are looking forward to face higher ranked ET Land (#6) in Inchon in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Goyang Orions will play on the road against the league's second-placed Mobis Phoebus having rather not much hope for a victory.
