Semifinals Round 1: Al Wakrah - Al Khor 90-63

Al Wakrah outrebounded Al Khor 50-35 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Julius Coles Jr (193-89, college: Canisius) nailed 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winning side and international forward Abdelrahman Abdelhaleem (205-96) accounted for 15 points and 13 rebounds. Al Wakrah's coach Ihab Galal felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian-American power forward Alvin Mofunanya (203-87, college: FDU) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Moustafa Lashin (187-97) added 19 points and 6 assists respectively for Al Khor in the defeat.
