Regular Season Round 27: Goyang Orions - SK Knights 85-73

Very predictable result in Daegu where third ranked Goyang Orions (18-12) beat 8th ranked SK Knights (13-18) 85-73 on Wednesday. Goyang Orions looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-90, college: BYU-Hawaii) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. American forward Dedric Lawson (206-97, college: Kansas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Four Goyang Orions players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) who recorded a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and guard Won-Choi Sung (186-95) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Goyang Orions. They moved-up to second place. Defending champion SK Knights keep the eighth position with 18 games lost. Goyang Orions will face bottom-ranked DB Promy (#10) in Wonju in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SK Knights will play at home against DB Promy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
