Regular Season Round 27: KCC Egis - ET Land 84-83

Fifth-ranked ET Land (16-15) made lots of trouble for first ranked KCC Egis (21-8) in Jeonju on Sunday. KCC Egis managed to secure only one-point victory 84-83. However their fans expected much easier game. KCC Egis made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game, while ET Land only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded ET Land 39-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. KCC Egis looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by ET Land helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-87) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Nakhyeon Kim (180-95) who recorded 18 points and 4 assists and American center Henry Sims (208-90, college: Georgetown) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five KCC Egis and four ET Land players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KCC Egis have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-8 record. ET Land at the other side keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. KCC Egis are looking forward to face Samsung Th. (#7) in Seoul in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ET Land will play at home against KT Sonicboom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
