Regular Season Round 24: Goyang Orions - KT Sonicboom 82-83

The most exciting game of round 24 in the KBL took place in Daegu. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-best Goyang Orions (15-12) to seventh ranked KT Sonicboom (14-12) 83-82 on Sunday evening. KT Sonicboom looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was international guard Hoon Heo (181-95) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 15 assists. American center Cliff Alexander (203-95, college: Kansas) chipped in 31 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Jeff Withey (213-90, college: Kansas) who recorded 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Il-Young Heo (197-85) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Goyang Orions players scored in double figures. Goyang Orions' coach Byong-Chul Kim rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KT Sonicboom moved-up to fourth place. Goyang Orions at the other side dropped to the third position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
