Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Singapore:Tong Whye (#6) and Tagawa (#8). Tong Whye (3-1) won against visiting Tagawa (1-3) 60-51 . Tong Whye outrebounded Tagawa 54-35 including a 40-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Lavin Raj V (201-2000) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds. The former international center Yeong-Wooi Khaw (200-1990) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. International forward Shi-Yu Ng (197-2000) replied with 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Yung-Juen Teo (191-2003) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tagawa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tong Whye moved-up to third place, which they share with SBA. Tagawa at the other side dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Siglap.
