Sixth-rankedSteelers (9-30) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Pilots (26-14) in Kaohsiung on Sunday. Pilots managed to secure only one-point victory 90-89 . However their fans expected much easier game. Pilots outrebounded Steelers 61-42 including 18 on the offensive glass. Pilots looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Steelers ' players. American guard Treveon Graham (198-1993, college: VCU) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and the former international Chen-Ya Chang (196-1999) accounted for 17 points. Five Pilots players scored in double figures. International point guard Yu-Wei Chen (183-1999) came up with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international guard Lu-Hsiang Wang (185-1997, college: Huntington) added 16 points respectively for Steelers in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Pilots maintains first place with 26-14 record. Steelers lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 30 lost games.
