The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th rankedFubon Braves ' (15-19) loss to fourth ranked Lioneers (17-16) 89-95 on Tuesday. Strangely Fubon Braves outrebounded Lioneers 56-43 including a 22-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Lioneers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (195-1984, college: CSUN) notched a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Po-Yu Tseng (186-1996) supported him with 13 points and 5 assists. Tseng is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds by the former international guard Chih-Chieh Lin (192-1982) did not help to save the game for Fubon Braves . American power forward Chris Johnson (210-1985, college: LSU, agency: Worldwide SM) added 16 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lioneers maintains fourth position with 17-16 record. Defending champion Fubon Braves keep the fifth place with 19 games lost.
