Regular Season Round 7: Taiwan Beer - Yulon Luxgen 72-81

There was a small surprise when third ranked Yulon Luxgen (10-11) won against leader Taiwan Beer (14-7) 81-72 on Sunday. Yulon Luxgen outrebounded Taiwan Beer 50-36 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jordan Tolbert (200-1992, college: SMU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 18 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 blocks. Nigerian forward Ifeanyi Eboka (198-2000) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Yulon Luxgen's coach Yung-Tai Wei used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds and guard Tien-You Yang (170-1993) added 7 points and 12 assists respectively for Taiwan Beer in the defeat. Defending champion maintains third place with 10-11 record having four points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Taiwan Beer lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with seven games lost. Yulon Luxgen will meet league's second-placed Bank of Taiwan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiwan Beer will play again against Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
