The most surprising game was another loss of top-rankedLakestars (36-15) on the court of fifth ranked Shizuoka on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Shizuoka 85-74 . Shizuoka looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Liberian-American guard Thomas Bropleh (196-1991, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 assists and American forward John Harrar (205-1999, college: Penn St.) who added 13 points and 17 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Hayato Wakugawa (194-2004) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shizuoka have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Shizuoka maintains fifth position with 23-28 record. Shiga L-Stars at the other side still keep top place with 15 games lost.
