There was a small surprise when fifth rankedBallooners (23-22) beat one of their biggest challengers Brave Thunders (25-20) in Kanagawa 87-78 on Sunday. Saga B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-1990) notched 24 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) supported him with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Ballooners players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds by the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (207-1985, college: Nevada) did not help to save the game for Kawasaki . American power forward Jordan Heath (208-1991, college: Canisius, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) added 6 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saga B. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sunrockers Sh. and Akita NH. Loser Brave Thunders keeps the third position with 20 games lost. They share it with Hiroshima D..
