There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Red Wolves (9-26) won against 13th ranked Fujian Nanan (11-23) in Weinan 83-79 on Thursday. Shaanxi made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-1994, college: Texas) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Zhuoya Fang (166-2000) accounted for 26 points and 5 assists for the winning side. American center Queen Egbo (190-2000, college: Baylor) came up with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds and forward Xing Jinbo (180-1996) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Fujian in the defeat. Four Fujian players scored in double figures. Shaanxi maintains fifteenth place with 9-26 record. Loser Fujian Nanan keeps the thirteenth position with 23 games lost. Shaanxi will meet at home Xiamen (#18) in the next round. Fujian will have a break next round.
