Seventh-rankedKoGas (18-27) were very close to win a game against first ranked Wonju DB (35-10) on Saturday. Wonju DB managed to secure only one-point victory 75-74 . However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KoGas. American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) saved the victory by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard In-Woong Park (186-2000) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) answered with 29 points and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KoGas. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wonju DB have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 35-10 record. KoGas at the other side keep the seventh position with 27 games lost.
