Regular Season Round 1: TNT Tropang - Rain or Shine 108-107

TNT Tropang used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Manila 108-107 on Wednesday night. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. TNT Tropang looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Calvin-John Oftana (195-1996) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized American forward Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser (201-1994, college: UC Riverside) accounted for 15 points and 14 rebounds. Center Leonard Santillan (195-1996) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Adrian Nocum added 20 points and 4 assists respectively for Rain or Shine in the defeat. Five TNT Tropang and four Rain or Shine players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. TNT Tropang will meet at home Terrafirma Dyip in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rain or Shine's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manila to the arena Ginebra Kings.
