Rather predictable result when second rankedToyota A. (18-1) won against 6th ranked Toyota BSR (12-8) in Nagoya 71-65 . However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Toyota BSR was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Sokhna Sylla (200-1997) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and the former international center Kadysha Umezawa (190-1998) who added 13 points during the contest. International Nanako Todo (175-2000) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and Yuki Kitamura (173-1994) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyota A. have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Denso I. Toyota BSR at the other side keeps the sixth place with eight games lost.
