Fourth-rankedStorks (18-23) were very close to win a game against third ranked Volters (28-13) in Kumamoto on Sunday. Volters managed to secure only one-point victory 85-84 . However their fans expected easier game. Kumamoto V. shot 62.3 percent from the field. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for center Jamel McLean (203-1988, college: Xavier) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Terrance Woodbury (203-1987, college: Georgia) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Max Hisatake (203-1998, college: IlIinois Tech, agency: Slash Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and forward Trey Porter (210-1996, college: Nevada) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Nishinomiya S.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kumamoto V. moved-up to second place, which they share with Fukuoka R. Nishinomiya S. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 23 games lost.
