The game between Top Four teams took place in Beirut. Second ranked hostAl Riyadi (15-1) smashed 4th placed Champs (9-7) 74-33 . Al Riyadi held Champs to an opponent 19.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.0 percent accuracy of the winners and made 24-of-26 charity shots (92.3 percent) during the game. Al Riyadi forced 31 Champs turnovers and outrebounded them 49-32 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Rebecca Akl (170-1992) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Reem El Ghali accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. The former international forward Nancy Maalouf (174-1988) came up with 8 points and 11 rebounds and Stephanie Abboud added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Champs in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Al Riyadi . They maintain second place with 15-1 record having just three points less than leader Club Beirut. Newly promoted Champs keep the fourth position with seven games lost.
