There was a surprise result in Tokushima where seventeenth rankedScorpions (8-23) edged higher ranked Gambarous (21-12) 76-73 on Saturday. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American Daniel Laster (199-1996, college: Gardner-Webb) chipped in 17 points. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jeremy Combs (201-1995, college: Texas Southern) with 25 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Toyoda maintains seventeenth place with 8-23 record. Loser Gambarous keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost.
