We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Gifu where 11th rankedPats Five (10-17) was defeated by twelfth ranked Swoops (10-17) 83-77 on Saturday. Gifu outrebounded Yamaguchi 53-35 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gifu looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American center Baylee Steele (213-1997, college: Duquesne, agency: One Motive Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. American-Dominican forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman Jelan-Miguel Kendrick (201-1991, college: UNLV, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import forward Deandre Abram (203-1997, college: Milwaukee) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gifu maintains twelfth place with 10-17 record, which they share with Yamaguchi.
