Regular Season Round 11: Al Wehda - Ohod 84-96

There was a small surprise in Mecca where sixth ranked Ohod (7-4) defeated 4th placed Al Wehda (7-4) 96-84 on Monday. Ohod outrebounded Al Wehda 33-20 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Jonathon Simmons (198-1989, college: Houston) who led his team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field). His fellow American import center Henry Sims (208-1990, college: Georgetown) helped adding 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Donte McGill (190-1995, college: FIU, agency: Green Sports Management) responded with 29 points and Senegalese-Spanish power forward Mamadou Samb (210-1989) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ohod have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Al Wehda.
