Fourth-ranked Vermilion Birds (18-5) gave a tough game to first ranked Mongolia (23-1) in Hohhot on Saturday. Mongolia managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Vermilion Birds. Inner M. have an impressive 17-game winning streak. Mongolia maintains first position with 23-1 record. Guangdong at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Shanxi. Inner M. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Guangdong will play on the road against Daqing (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
