Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Rain or Shine (4-5) won against 10th ranked Terrafirma Dyip (2-7) in Makati City 116-105 on Saturday. Rain or Shine outrebounded Terrafirma Dyip 54-38 including 16 on the offensive glass. Rain or Shine looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-1991, college: Akron) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American forward Keith Datu (201-1996, college: Chico St.) supported him with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds by Belgian forward Thomas De Thaey (203-1991, college: NC State) did not help to save the game for Terrafirma Dyip. Guard Juan Tiongson (178-1991) added 19 points and 6 assists for the hosts. Five Rain or Shine and four Terrafirma Dyip players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Rain or Shine have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with TNT Tropang. Terrafirma Dyip lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Rain or Shine will meet at home TNT Tropang (#8) in the next round. Terrafirma Dyip will play against SM Beermen and hope to secure a win.
