There was a minor upset in Saitama where 5th rankedUnited (15-8) was defeated by seventh ranked Broncos (15-8) 86-77 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was naturalized American center Will Creekmore (205-1989, college: Missouri St.) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Broncos' coach Shugaku Izumi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Michael Craig (196-1991, college: Southern Miss) produced 23 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the other American import Marcus Dove (206-1985, college: OK State) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Broncos . Saitama moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Tokyo Utd.
