Regular Season Round 7: TNT Tropang - SM Beermen 93-98

Another exciting game was played in Makati between fifth rankedSM Beermen and 6th ranked TNT Tropang where SM Beermen (5-3) beat TNT Tropang (4-4) on the road 98-93 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TNT Tropang. SM Beermen dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to TNT Tropang 's 36. Worth to mention a great performance of U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-1990, college: Murray St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jaymar Perez (188-1993) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American-Jordanian forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (201-1995, college: Arizona) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Calvin-John Oftana (195-1996) added 27 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for TNT Tropang. Four TNT Tropang players scored in double figures. TNT Tropang's coach Jojo Lastimosa tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. SM Beermen moved-up to fourth place, which they share with North Port. TNT Tropang at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost.
