Regular Season Round 19: Tokyo Z - Tokyo Utd 66-77

Not a big story in a game in Tokyo where 10th ranked Earthfriends (8-11) were defeated by sixth ranked United (12-7) 77-66 on Saturday. Tokyo Utd dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Earthfriends's 24. American swingman Michael Craig (196-1991, college: Southern Miss) fired 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Hajime Imabayashi (184-1999) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Four United players scored in double figures. United's coach Masaki Hayamizu used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Jacob Lampkin (206-1996, college: Alaska-Anch.) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Takumi Ide (174-1999) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Tokyo Utd moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Yokohama. Tokyo Z lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Yamaguchi. Tokyo Utd will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo Z's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Utd.
