Regular Season Round 15: Sono SG - KoGas 74-80

Bottom-ranked KoGas managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Friday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Skygunners in Daegu 80-74. It was an exceptional evening for Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) accounted for 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Jong-hyun Lee (191-1999) came up with 20 points and 7 assists and Nigerian-American center Chinanu Onuaku (207-1996, college: Louisville) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Sono SG in the defeat. Five KoGas and four Sono SG players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KoGas (3-14) moved-up to ninth place. Loser Skygunners dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. KoGas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sono SG will play again against KoGas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
