Very expected game when 20th rankedBlue Whales (1-13) were smashed by sixth ranked Guangsha Lions (10-4) in Sichuan 132-101 on Friday. Guangsha L. dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Blue Whales 's 52. Guangsha L. outrebounded Sichuan 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Guangsha L. looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. American forward Cameron Oliver (203-1996, college: Nevada) notched 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international center Jinqiu Hu (211-1997) supported him with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 30 points and 10 assists by American point guard Trae Golden (189-1991, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Sichuan . The former international center Rongzhen Zhu (218-1999) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Five Guangsha L. and four Sichuan players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guangsha L. moved-up to fifth place. Sichuan lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost.
