A very close game took place in Fukushima betweenIwate and Fukushima . Sixth ranked Iwate (3-12) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Fukushima (5-10). Iwate managed to escape with a 1-point win 86-85 on Saturday evening. Slovenian forward Martin Krampelj (206-1995, college: Creighton) fired 20 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Kelvin Martin (196-1989, college: Charleston So.) chipped in 20 points. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (208-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and guard Takeshi Tada (186-1997) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Iwate and five Fukushima players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Iwate maintains sixth place with 3-12 record. Fukushima lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Ehime OV.
