Regular Season Round 1: Al-Muharraq - Kuwait 92-108

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of BahrainAl-Muharraq in Al Muharraq. Hosts were defeated by Kuwaiti Kuwait 108-92 . Kuwait outrebounded Al-Muharraq 45-30 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kuwait players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Point guard Hamad Hasan (191-1997) stepped up and scored 28 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and American guard Tony Carr (196-1997, college: Penn St.) chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. At the losing side American forward Tyler Wilkerson (203-1988, college: Marshall) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Mohamed Nasser scored 23 points. Five Kuwait and four Al-Muharraq players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
