Regular Season Round 4: Shandong H. - Sichuan BW 114-101

Heroes can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Blue Whales (0-4) 114-101 on Sunday. Heroes made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Heroes outrebounded Blue Whales 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-South Sudanese Marial Shayok (196-1995, college: Iowa St.) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists and center Hailong Jiao (208-1996) who added 18 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Heroes players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Trae Golden (189-1991, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and Ruoyu Su (206-1991) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Heroes (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 6 other teams. It was Blue Whales' fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Heroes will meet at home Loongs (#14) in the next round. Blue Whales will play against Eagles (#11) and hope to get finally their first victory.
