Regular Season Round 3: KoGas - LG Sakers 83-92

The game between closely ranked teams ended with LG Sakers' (2-3) road victory over KoGas (1-2) in Inchon 92-83 on Saturday. LG Sakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. The former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-1997) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Four LG Sakers players scored in double figures. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Dae-Heon Lee (198-1992) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for KoGas in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. LG Sakers will meet Seoul Thunders (#8) on the road in the next round. KoGas will play against Seoul Thunders and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
