Very expected game when bottom-ranked Bambitious N. (0-9) was edged on the road by third ranked Kumamoto V. (6-3) 64-62 on Wednesday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Kumamoto V. forced 19 Bambitious N. turnovers. Strangely Bambitious N. outrebounded Kumamoto V. 39-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-1987, college: Cincinnati) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 21 rebounds and American Shaquille Hines (201-1993, college: UTRGV) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bambitious N.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kumamoto V. have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Bambitious N. still closes the standings with nine games lost. Kumamoto V. will meet at home Ehime OV (#6) in the next round.
